INetU had the most reliable site in March, says Netcraft

Netcraft's monthly report shows INetU has had the most reliable hosting company site for March 2008. INetU is closely followed by Express Technologies, with Pair Networks ranking third.

Netcraft is a well-known internet measurement services provider. The report in question is based on availability measurements, performed every 15 minutes from different physical locations. More about the ranking: "From a customer's point of view, the percentage of failed requests is more pertinent than outages on hosting companies' own sites, as this gives a pointer to reliability of routing, and this is why we choose to rank our table by fewest failed requests, rather than shortest periods of outage."

Daily measurements of fifty leading hosting providers' sites are also available. The monthly rankings are dynamic, and rarely show the same companies occupying the top spots.

According to Netcraft, three of March's top ten hosting companies run Windows Server 2003 on their websites, while two use Linux and two use FreeBSD. Three, including the number one company, are listed as running unknown operating systems.
