Easynet Makes Indicative a Strategic Supplier
HostReview.com Indicative Software announced on Wednesday that Easynet, the international managed hosting and networks company, is deploying Indicative's end-to-end enterprise management software as part of its ongoing commitment to improve the quality of its core services to customers. As a result, Indicative has become one of Easynet's major strategic technology suppliers. Easynet chose Indicative's single-product approach to service management over well-known event-based management tools. The managed network and hosting solutions company is dedicated to delivering superbly managed solutions. As part of this program, and the continual improvement of its service, Easynet needed to ensure the delivery of stringent service-level agreements for business-critical customer applications. Easynet also wanted a management solution that would allow it to manage efficient capacity utilization, and keep up with its ever-changing, fast-growing IT environment. The company found that Indicative could discover and help solve problems that traditional management tools could not. "We chose Indicative because the company did what they promised," said Thilo Rockman, Easynet's Group IS Director. "We were pleased with how well Indicative was able to address our needs and those of our customers, over the best-known names in the business. Indicative not only had a clear understanding of our commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience, it did a superior job of bringing its product to bear on our strategic needs." Easynet's customers benefit from stringent service-level agreements (SLAs) in its managed network and hosting solutions business, which allowed Indicative to prove its mettle with its service-level approach. Indicative's software works by creating easily constructed models of the services and supporting infrastructure, which are mapped and accounted for through Indicative's automated discovery and topology mapping capabilities. With service models in place, SLAs become defined by easy point-and-click selection of service-level objectives and performance parameters, which can be proactively monitored in real time within the service model. Those designated thresholds help IT operations avert adverse impacts to service performance that would fall short of metrics stipulated by the SLA. In many service-oriented businesses, SLAs define success or failure. "Easynet represents a huge win for Indicative's service delivery management solution over conventional enterprise management vendors," said Lacy H. Edwards, Indicative's CEO. "We went head to head with tactical, event-based tools from IBM and Hewlett-Packard for a very large, strategic implementation of management software, and won Easynet's business on the strength of our approach and the value it brings to customers." "Easynet's choice of Indicative underscores our belief that tactically oriented tools are inherently inefficient and cost-prohibitive for meeting today's enterprise management needs," Edwards continued. "Companies that need a strategic approach to managing IT for delivery of business-critical services are turning to Indicative as a trusted partner." Indicative (http://www.indicative.com/) is a Colorado-based software company that helps large corporations manage their IT environments for optimal service delivery.
Easynet is part of the British Sky Broadcasting group, which has a total
