April 21, 2006; 03:27 AM Orlando, FL - WebSitePulse - a leading provider
of global, independent and remote web monitoring of web-based and
e-mail systems, web applications and e-business transactions announced
today that the leading tax websites offered uninterrupted and
consistently reliable services to the late e-filers over the two weeks
prior to April 17th.
According to the IRS, as of Thursday, April 13th, on-line filing was up
15 percent compared to the same period last year - the greatest growth
for e-file among those filing from a home computer. Twelve of the most
popular tax websites – based on last years’ increase in traffic data
and overall search engine visibility – were monitored by WebSitePulse
between April 1st and 17th. Performance was measured for a typical
3-step web-transaction, every 15 minutes, from the San Francisco,
Chicago, and Washington DC monitoring locations, to best reflect the
End Users experience. The results were summarized, published daily and
offered to the public in the WebSitePulse Performance and Uptime
Reports and through RSS feeds.
“We are pleased to report that all monitored tax websites performed
without interruptions or major deviations from their normal response
times during the last two weeks of the 2006 tax season” – says Iavor
Marinoff, CEO of WebSitePulse. “Usually, their traffic increases
between 20 and 100% during this time of the year but their websites,
web systems and applications offered reliable access and consistently
high-quality services to the large crowds of late e-filers,” concludes
Mr. Marinoff.
WebSitePulse continues its efforts to provide the Internet community
with public information about the performance of popular online
destinations during National Holidays and other important events
through its Performance and Uptime Reports, and so far, data about the
2005 Holiday Season, 2006 Valentine’s Day, and 2006 Tax Season are
available on the company’s website.
