Landmark Digital Services to Move into Peak 10 Nashville's Second World-Class Data CenterRecently Commissioned Data Center Positions Peak 10 as Dominant Regional Player June 9, 2008; 02:38 AM
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 6, 2008) – Peak 10, the leading independent data center operator and managed services provider, today announced that Landmark Digital Services will safeguard its mission-critical IT infrastructure within Peak 10’s second regional state-of-the-art data center facility.
“Peak 10 is a trusted name in the industry and its talented team, focus on quality control and impressive engineering expertise made this an easy decision for us,” said Darren Briggs, vice president and chief technology officer at Landmark. “Peak 10 has an outstanding reputation in our market, and as an advisor and extension of our IT department, will allow us to focus on growing and enhancing our business while effectively meeting the needs of our customers.”
Completed earlier this year, Peak 10’s second Nashville data center contains 10,000-square feet of data center space, providing Peak 10 Nashville with more than 20,000-square feet of premiere data center space to accommodate its growing and diverse customer base. The new facility will provide Peak 10’s customers with additional room for growth and will be leveraged to help them meet regulatory compliance requirements. Customers will also benefit from lower operating costs by maximizing internal IT resources through the security and availability of a complex technology infrastructure.
“Peak 10 engaged PTS Consulting Group, LLC, an internationally recognized mission critical facilities engineering and IT consulting firm, to commission Nashville’s second data center,” said David Kidd, director of quality assurance and compliance for Peak 10. “In a very structured manner, the formal commissioning process allows us to independently evaluate the integrated operations of individual data center systems in concert. Through in-depth testing with a team of professional engineers, we were able to effectively establish the capabilities and reliability of the data center's mission critical infrastructure.”
Commissioning is a key component of Peak 10's overall quality assurance program. All Peak 10 data centers meet world-class standards and are engineered with multiple levels of security, uninterruptible power, redundant HVAC systems, fire suppression, and around-the-clock monitoring and management. Each facility is also interconnected by Peak 10’s private network enabling the company to meet its high availability objective and provide business continuity for its customers’ mission critical applications.
“We are thrilled to add such an innovative technology company to our growing and diverse customer portfolio,” said Jeff Spalding, Peak 10's executive vice president of market operations. “Landmark has become a leader in developing groundbreaking audio recognition products and services and requires a stable and secure IT infrastructure to serve its customers across the country. We will provide Landmark with the highest level of service and support so that they can focus on further enhancing and growing their successful business."
